When it comes to maintaining good orthopedic health, doctors always suggest having an active lifestyle rather than being sedentary. Now, if we have a brief look at what a sedentary lifestyle is then it can be defined as doing everything just by sitting in a place. This means the person has no physical activity.

Now, considering the above point, can’t we say that desk jobs at the office are sedentary in nature? Yes, they are, and hence, a common problem i.e. back pain is experienced in most people engaged in desk jobs. In the worst scenarios, surgical intervention may be required for the treatment and that may involve the use of Spinal Ortho Surgical Implants.

The question that arises here is what to do. We cannot leave the job and switch to a profession out of our expertise. So, what’s the solution? Well, office back pain is becoming a common and serious issue but, with a little bit of care, we can improve that and even prevent it in the first place. In this post, we will have a look at 3 simple tips that can help us with back pain. Let us see what they are.

3 Ways to Improve Back Pain

Create a Comfortable Environment for your Back

Sitting for hours in a place is not easy but, we don’t have another option. So, the best thing we could do here is to create an environment that is back-friendly. So, what we mean here is to first choose a comfortable chair. Now, what does a comfortable chair mean? Your chair must have a flexible backrest and armrest so that you can sit in a comfortable position. The cushioning of the chair must be firm that can contour the shape of your back. Besides this, a chair that swivels is always the best at it prevents the twisting of your back to talk to anyone or picking up objects from the ground.

Along with the chair, your desk must also be at a comfortable height so that you can work without putting any stress on the back. The desk must be optimum enough that can allow you to work while sitting straight.

Give Your Body a Bit Rest

Another important thing you need to do is not to sit continuously for more than 2 hours. After every couple of hours, give yourself a break of 5 minutes and stretch your back and legs and walk for a few minutes. This relieves stress from your muscles and gives your body time to relax a bit.

Those who have a calling job are advised to use hands-free as much as possible so that they can keep their head straight.

Maintain Good Posture

A good posture is everything when it comes to maintaining good spine health. A good sitting position can significantly reduce back pain and if you are not suffering from the same, considering this will prevent it in the first place.

While sitting, keep your back straight and firmly resting on the backrest. Your head & neck should be aligned straight over the shoulder. Besides this, your knees should be bent at 90 degrees, and your feet completely placed on the ground.

Considering these simple steps can help you with back pain, especially when it is in the early stage. If these remedies don’t work, smartness lies in consulting a specialist but, this doesn’t mean you should stop following this.
